Need Better Sounds (Music and FX) #59

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Need someone to develop good sounds...

See the sounds folder in svn for format required for sounds...

background music should be an ogg

sound fx need to be raw (8bit unsigned pcm i believe... see example sounds
in folder)

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Sound fx should be 16bit signed pcm, stereo, 48000 hz

Looking for a good sound when a cover is selected. Also; if there is a nice
button
clicking sound.

As for background music; I think we will leave it off by default; and if you
add a
background.ogg to your system; it will play it when it loads.

I like Peep.ogg, but maybe you should have several genres of music styles and
you can
choose in the settings menu.

I prefere something soft, like the title menu one, but yeah an option to select
a bg
music would be fine.

Nice, but maybe to hard for people who don't like it. I think the SSBB theme
song is quite nice for this

like winamp

Original comment by Dragonst...@gmail.com on 12 Jun 2009 at 7:11

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
It's call Orange Tree.

Winamp would be nice but......

There are 2 irresolvable issues with that.
1.) Not everyone has wifi\ethy->usb.
2.) The load time would take longer than it would take to pick a game.

the best solution to this issue that I can see is to place a mplayer codex in
and
point it to a folder and let it play the playlist in the folder, and place a
little
auto-hide sound control on the main screen.

Of Course for the next release if the guys where up to the challenge.
