Adding Fusion Tables URL to spreadsheet #331

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
When the stats are added to the Google Docs spreadsheets, My Tracks
used to add the URL of the My Maps map to the final column. Could My
Tracks add the URL of the Fusion Tables map instead? At the moment, I
need to share the URL by e-mail, e-mail it to myself, and update the
spreadsheet manually.

Agreed. Just started using mytracks and wondered why there was an empty Map
column. Shouldn't be too hard to fix, maybe I'll take a crack at it myself.

Thanks. If support for My Maps is brought back, you'll need two columns. One
for My Maps and one for Fusion Tables.

Just another thought about the spreadsheet, two more columns would be useful:

1) The embeddable link.
2) The KML network link.

Both are available from Fusion Tables. It would be nice if they could be
included in the Google Docs spreadsheet.

Yes, the link to the map URL is missing in the Google Docs spreadsheet. If the
My Maps feature isn't utilized the Map URL should point to the Fusion Tables
URL. Saves the hassle of having to upload the row, open the map, copy be URL,
open the spreadsheet, then paste the URL, close the spreadsheet, etc...
PS I Love MyTracks

"If the My Maps feature isn't utilized the Map URL should point to the Fusion
Tables URL."

I don't agree with that point. It's possible to upload to both Google Maps and
Fusion Tables, so there needs to be two columns.

I'd also like to see a date/time uploaded column as well as the date/time
recorded column.
