So far this is done by post processing scripts generated in Basel.

[ ] Need to see what these steps are and how they could be incorporated.
[ ] Evaluate post processing plug-in concept versus re-implementation of these two scripts.

Explanation: Right now the 'two step' procedure of having MoMA export rather raw stats (phase contrast pixel intensities and fluorescence column sums) that then get processed by a Perl script that we wrote to get better cell size and total fluorescence estimates, is really rather ugly. I imagine you want to include this post-processing in MoMA at some point. This is mainly to make the code more attractive to others (we can run our post-processing scripts ourselves).
