I really like the overall design and feel of your website and think your group did an excellent job with the site. Some areas for improvement would be the letters. While I really like the drop-down menu for the different letters it would be more efficient if you had a way to click a button to get to the next letter instead of having to go back up to the menu bar. Also If the images of the letters were a bit bigger so people can follow along with your transcriptions would be a cool way to see them in the future. However, I did appreciate the image gallery, the only improvement would be to make a way that allows you to stay on the page when you click an image. Overall you guys did an excellent job on this.

I thought the Felipe did a great job constructing this website for sure. Everything from the fixed-background image to the drop down menu at the top of the nav bar was terrific. Your website is very simplistic in regards to how interactive it is. In terms of suggestions, one thing I would suggest for the letters is to add some p tags and add some paragraphs separating some of the text apart, otherwise you get sort of a big blob of text. In terms of styling on the letter pages, I would change the drop-shadow translucent box, which your text is wrapped inside, and make it more opaque or make it one solid color so that it becomes easier to read for other viewers.

I really liked how your project came out and everything you put into it. Some areas could be improved, like the letters page and getting the pictures of the letter to be bigger. and possibly making screen captures of the doodles she makes on the letters pop more so people can notice them better. Yet overall, the website functions great and looks great!

I think you guys did a good job on this website.

I would recommend increasing the opacity of the box behind the text because as it is now, the text is competing with the background image. The image is great because it adds color and intrigue, so if you just increase the text block's opacity, it'll look great. Also, maybe add a white boarder around the images as well so that they stand out from the background too.

Nice work!

Overall I like the project as a whole but for viewing ease for a majority of people I think the background could be toned down or the box that lays behind the text could be brought forth. For example, you could make the entire page have the same look as the about page. The borders on those images and captions make it look more professional and increase the visibility of the information. So far it is looking good though!

First off, I love the CSS on the website. Its so visually appealing yet very user friendly to navigate. The navbar especially is very simple and effective. Adding the white background behind each element makes it less noisy and very legible. Overall fantastic job providing not only the text from each page, but also larger pictures of the original pages for those curious.

Your site looks fantastic! Whoever was in charge of the visuals did a great job. The only change I would make is the background of the letter transcripts. Right now, they are against a transparent background, which makes them somewhat hard to read since the image is still visible behind them. I would make this background solid white so that the text is more readable.

I absolute love the overall aesthetic and design of the site, probably the most colorful of all teams. I also like the navigation to different letters through the navbar drop-down menu.

I have two suggestions to make the site better, both with balancing aesthetic and comfort of site visitor in mind:

  1. The white transparent box behind texts can have its transparency decreased (or increased if you think in CSS) to make the texts more readable.
  2. The pictures in letter pages can be made larger. I know some people like to view both the original manuscript and the transcribed text at the same time.

The aesthetic and layout of the website is very well done! Nice colors and backgrounds. Looks organized as well. The only thing I would alter is the text. It's a little hard to read on the home page. On the other pages, the text could be nicer. It kind of looks like the default text so if you wanna pretty up the page with the text that would be cool! Overall, great site!
