Testing on MacPro 10.6.4 Snow Leopard, QT Player 7 shows slightly different
behavior. Stuttering actually seems to repeat a few frames. However after
load complete it plays smoothly.
Async io to buffer should fix this.

Hi, Tom?
I'm a Power-PC G5 (10.5 Leopard - dualcore - see attached PDF: "password" is
simply "G5" - whatever details you need to help me I'll be willing to supply, i
just have no idea what you'll need) tower user No Intel, but two very healthy
TB drives, everything working fine until today - friday 23rd november - when
all hell starts going pear-shaped. I'm not that fluent in programming but I've
downloaded bits and pieces of the WEBM component for quicktime 7.7 (behaving
itself fine) installer package and run it with the Mac installers and it's all
been accepted and installed with a big tick - now i can't get anything
reasonable out of YouTube who say i must have at least FFox 4 (safari isn't
compatible with me, mostly, or my lifestyle, and furthermore Apple has washed
it's hands of everything Power-Pc based so I'm stuck in a limbo.
I cannot afford to get anything new. End of.
Am i at the end of a cul-de-sac now? html5 seems to work when uploading youtube
videos, but uploadig anything anywhere else has been getting slowly worse -
been using RealPlayer 12.0.1 quite a bit.
I'm really at a loss.
