Is there a way to make circ play a sound on new chat message received?

You could definitely write a script for that.

Would be great to have default sounds or an example script to copy/paste/install.

Would love to have this by default. XMonad messes with my desktop/tray/Chrome notifications so sound alerts help a lot for me.
