Brainstorming v2.5 #30

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Remember, Brainstorming is just for spitting out ideas. No judgment! If there's
a topic that you feel warrants further investigation, start a discussion via
the Google Group.

Features:
- New game mode "Dice Down", where you control a d20 as it falls down through
series of walls with random gaps (a la "Fall Down" classic arcade game).
- New setting "Sensitivity", a slider to adjust our default sensitivity.
- New screen "Pause Screen," appears when user taps screen during active
rolling. Provides button for settings screen, button to return to game modes
screen, button for instructions screen, and button to un-pause.
- Sound Effects (maybe via JavaScript?)
- - New setting "Volume", a slider and a mute/unmute button for the SFX.

Sounds like fun. I think we should work on integrating a farkle/10000 mode
of game play.
By the way, is our code supposed to be visible to anyone on the web? I just
viewed some of our code without being logged in.

Currently, yes, because it's under one of those open-source licenses. This
might have been a requirement for the contest - otherwise we can look at
alternatives.

It's always been open source and it always will be. That's a requirement for
all Google Code projects.

Wasn't a requirement of the contest, I just like open source, and Google
code. When using code that's distributed under certain open sources
licenses, you can get into trouble if your source isn't also open and your
project is for profit. Qt is under LGPL though, which is pretty lax.
