Installation Type

Flatpak from Github installed it using the windows execution file (exe).

Operating System type and version

Description

Good Morning!

I don't know what happened that flameshot is not working when I have a google chrome tab open. It just doesn't work in chrome,

Can you describe more specifically what exactly you are doing and what does not work?

Would you please confirm that you really have installed Flatpak on you Windows? I've heard that it works on experimental and hacky ways, but never heard of it as a stable approach!

I noticed that if I have the chorme window open it does not activate the screenshot, but if I have chrome not open the screenshot works normally.

What do you mean? If Chrome is open and you press printscreen nothing happens? Or it cannot take screenshot from Chrome? If the first one is the issue, what happens when you have Chrome open and click on Flameshot's tray icon?

Apologies for opening an old thread.

I am also experiencing this bug. I have no idea what's causing it, perhaps something related to chrome?

@Maltbrew can you first confirm your flameshot version, chrome version, OS version, and additionally, answer the questions from my comment. The OP left the question unanswered

Certainly. I'm running on Win 10.

I'm using v. 12.1.0 (96c2c82e) Chrome: 110.0.5481.78

Correct, when I press Print Screen on an active Chrome window, nothing happens. If I click outside Chrome however, I can take a screenshot of Chrome. This also works when I click the icon in the sys tray.

Update.

It works fine now in Chrome. There hasn't been an update though, so I have no idea what's happened.
