Flameshot Version

Flameshot v12.1.0

Installation Type

Using the ready-made package from Github Releases

Operating System type and version

Kubuntu 22.04

Description

Flameshot is best. Everything is going well when I use it on the X11 display server. However, the Copy to Clipboard function did not work when I used it on the Wayland display server. The app notifies that the captured image was saved to the clipboard. But, it can't be pasted.

yeah, you're right. The fix is to disable (uncheck) the "use jpg format for clipboard option" in the tab setting.
But this is a real bug. At minimum this setting should default to un-checked.

Ensure dunst or an alternate notification manager/daemon is running if you are using i3wm on your system; recommend cloning the official dunstrc from official dunst repo. A system I was using was not copying flameshot screen captures to the system clipboard, cloned official dunstrc and managed to re-enable clipboard pasting functionality. Spent hours trying to fix this but was able to resolve by apparently installing dunst

Same problem here on KDE Neon 5.27, with X11 all ok, but in Wayland, copy are not working I try to uncheck JPG as default, but the problem still there.

Kubuntu 23.04, wayland - same story here, no image can be copied to a clipboard after catpuring it.

Linux Mint 21.1 - Cinnamon Flameshot flatpak 12.1.0

Have to disable JPG to be able to paste into Firefox 114.0.2. I can paste JPG into Telegram though... so it gets copied.

I got the same problem and cannot be solved by unchecking "use jpg format for clipboard option".

Same here with KDE Neon 22.04 on Wayland with Plasma 6 (Flameshot v12.1.0). Checking/unchecking JPG option does not help.
