Flameshot icon is visible in tray area but when I click on it nothing happens #3201

Description

Flameshot icon is visible in tray area but when I click on it nothing happens. I've followed this steps.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open 3 terminals

  2. Kill Flameshot if it is already open using pkill flameshot

  3. In the first terminal run dbus-monitor --session sender=org.flameshot.Flameshot

  4. In the second terminal run flameshot

  5. In the third terminal run flameshot gui

I have the same issue. I also don't get any GUI when running "flameshot gui".

@AlexanderProd @jakkan Thanks for properly reporting the issue. Considering that the PrivateBin has very short expiration dates, do you mind if they are copied in this issue? As far as I can see, neither of them contain any personal info anyways. Snopyta unfortunately has removed "1 year" and "Never" expiration options. One of you chose 1 month and the other 1 week, both of which are very short durations.

I don’t mind if the logs are posted here. Also another probably important fact, Ubuntu is running in virtual machine in VMWare 17 Pro. And it had worked when I initially installed Lightshot, but at some point it stopped working.

My issue was resolved. I don't remember how I solved it unfortunately. I think it was by adding the environment variables recommended here: https://docs.voidlinux.org/config/graphical-session/wayland.html but I'm not completely sure. I can do some additional testing if you'd want. I also don't mind if my logs are copied to here.
