Might be unrelated, but I searched for the same issue the last few days: for me this issue appeared recently by chance when I uninstalled xdg-desktop-portal-gtk, because I thought only xdg-desktop-portal-wlr was needed. Once I reinstalled the gtk portal, flameshot started working again.

Since you are on Plasma, you should install xdg-desktop-portal-kde and xdg-desktop-portal. The xdg-desktop-portal-gtk should be unrelated simply because Flameshot used Qt and not GTK. Also KDE Plasma is not based on wlroots. You would only need that on Sway, Hyprland and other window managers. Gnome needs gtk and Plasma needs kde portals. I myself am a KDE Plasma user and I don't have the xdg-desktop-portal-gtk at all and Flameshot works just fine. Please make sure you have followed the instructions in our documentation:

https://flameshot.org/docs/guide/wayland-help/#can-t-screen-anything-on-wayland-kde

I will keep this open and I would appreciate it if you can try the instructions above and let us know if it works.

Also, please properly report your system information. For instance you failed to mention if you use X11 or Wayland despite the bug report for requesting it. You can read more about what is needed for issue reporting here:
