I think it would be great if the pencil tool supported smoothing and opacity.
Right now, when I take a screenshot, I open the image in GIMP to do my annotation. That's super cumbersome and Flameshot would literally be perfect if it could support some of the basic GIMP tools.
Here is a screenshot with a circled element in Flameshot using my best (and admittedly terrible) stable hand and the pencil tool:
Here's the same thing with GIMP smoothing and some opacity applied:
Here are the GIMP settings used for that should you wish to sample yourself:
