Hello, could you give more information or make a video explaining? I'm using two monitors with different sizes, my main one at 1920x1280 and the secondary one I think is 1280x1024 and flameshot is working normal in my Kde plasma.
Basically, when I try to take a screenshot of both screens from the launcher, it works.
When I try to take a screenshot of a selected area (rectangular area option from the launcher) or use the print screen button shortcut, it will only let me select an area on my secondary screen.
I couldn't get a screen recorder to work on plasma/wayland, so I logged out and switched over to x11. Flameshot works perfectly now, so I'll just be using x11 moving forward. In trying to respond to your question, I figured out a workaround to my issue.
Flameshot still isn't working properly in wayland for me. The issue may be on my end, but it's a nearly fresh install of debian 12. With OBS not working for me on wayland also, I'm thinking it just might be an issue with the new release of debian 12.
I'm going to close this issue, since I got flameshot working as expected on x11. I appreciate your response!
You are welcome. But i will try it in wayland too
Flameshot Version
Flameshot v12.1.0 (Debian 12.1.0-2) Compiled with Qt 5.15.8
Installation Type
Linux, MacOS, or Windows Package manager (apt, pacman, eopkg, choco, brew, ...)
Operating System type and version
Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) x86_64
Description
When I take a screenshot, it only recognizes my secondary monitor. I am able to take a screenshot of both monitors from the launcher, but using the 'rectangular region' option or pressing the print screen shortcut results in only the secondary monitor being available for selection, regardless of what window/monitor is in focus.
This issue has only been occurred since installing flameshot on debian 12. everything worked as expected on debian 11.
Steps to reproduce
run flameshot gui via launcher or shortcut
Screenshots or screen recordings
