Capturing on macOS using an ultrawide monitor sometimes doesnt allow capture of entire display region #3500

Flameshot Version

Flameshot v11.0.0 (ad1bf28) Compiled with Qt 5.15.2 darwin: 23.2.0 osx: 14.2

Installation Type

Linux, MacOS, or Windows Package manager (apt, pacman, eopkg, choco, brew, ...)

Operating System type and version

macOS Sonoma 14.2

Description

Sometimes when trying to capture a screenshot, the app only allows me to capture a leftmost part of the display, seemingly in 16:9 or 16:10 ratio, leaving the other area greyed out. (I can still capture it, but its just gray)

Steps to reproduce

Not sure how to reproduce it, it seems to happen after the device has been turned on for a while.

System Information

Im using an LG 29EA93 connected with HDMI image

I did try looking for an existing issue open, but saw nothing that resembled my case

It might not immediately help the situation, but having the latest Flameshot version is always advised. version v11.0.0 is two release behind.
