swords in slot 1 do not show for other players [visual bug] #26

i have a sword in slot 1 and it shows for me but not other players. is this intentional? this happens with both swords on hip and on back.

this is NOT a mod conflict. the screenshots below were from having JUST slashblade. not even optifine.

modver: SlashBlade-mc1.12-r33 forge: 1.12.2-forge-14.23.5.2860
