Support for NX-596E-Sim #14

Hi there, Is it possible to connect to a NX-596e-sim? it looks like te same as a 595 but whit a extra sim module. I have this but when using the plugin I cannot connect.

I can access my system from a web interface no problem but using the created user and pin in homebrige cannot get it connecting.

Hello and thanks for the input,

I don't know for sure whether the 596 works with homebridge-caddx-interlogix, as I don't have one to try out. Could you please enable the -D (debug) switch in homebridge and copy/paste your console output here for checking? Also could you please open up your web interface and check the page source? There should be a line near the top of the login page that reads like this:

First off, go into homebridge settings and enable the debug option (-D), then restart the server and copy/paste the console output here.

As for the web interface source, open the login page in your browser of choice and look for the Show Page Source or the Web Inspector option (it differs per browser); the line you are looking for is close to the start of the page code.

Thank you, that clears things up. The 596 web interface is working differently from the 595 and that is why the plug-in can't connect to your network module. Unfortunately, without a module on hand to work with, I can't modify the plug-in to support your device :(

I appreciate the offer, that’s very kind of you 🙏🏻 Unfortunately, even with the issue of having a VPN tunnel active at all times and properly set up, physical access to a live installation is needed to properly debug the plug-in in a new setting (i.e. check if the contacts and sensors work, arming/disarming, etc), so without an actual 596 module on hand it’s practically infeasible 😔

Spyros, thanks for the answer, and a pitty that this wil not work, is it an idea that I send you the 596 , so you can change the plug-in,and when you finish, you return the card I wil look for the costs of the shipment Gr Marcel

I am afraid that would not be of help, I have no experience installing these modules on the hardware side :(
