This is a mirror of a Synthesizer issue which covers the use of this data on that side (https://github.com/flaresimulations/synthesizer/issues/598).
As the title says all datasets should carry a units attribute which can be converted to a unyt.Unit when loading on the Synthesizer side. The helper already implements the ability to do this but it has not been used anywhere.
