Can you clarify on this? The game itself runs at half speed or the audio
sounds slow?

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The game as a whole. Happens with every rom, just runs in slow motion

I have users with Galaxy S II running it just fine. Still with Android two
identical devices are not truly identical, odd ball bugs come up. Is your
phone doing anything crazy in the background? Have you tried an
uninstall/reinstall?

Phone is behaving fine, market is crashing a bit however. Reinstall fixes
nothing. I am running a custom rom, may be the cause

After reinstalling, removing audio stretch seemed to solve the issue.goodness
knows why this didn't work the first time

Was going to suggest setting the audio stretch to 0. That's how I fixed it on
my S II

I am having the same issue on my S2, removing audio stretch made it run a
little faster, but sound and game are still slow, so it didn't completely
solved it. Already tried reinstalling and everything...

Hi, I've tried to reports a similar issue, but couldn't, here it is:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.game start
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Sound crackle, some unexpected lines (like flickering) e slowdown

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest GenPlus version on 2.3.5 android (Galaxy Note)

Please provide any additional information below.

The emulator used to run flawless and perfectly, but suddenly those issues
started (this afternoon). Tried to fix reinstaling the app, but nothing
happend. Iยดm not sure if any update was released at least 2 days ago and I
also uninstaled the other emulators Iยดve downloaded today (ataroid, Mame4Droid
reloaded and Tiger Arcade) but the problem persists.

Same here on a Nexus 10 tablet running Android 4.2.1. It looks like switching
to another app and coming back makes sound work perfectly fine for a few
seconds, but then it gets progressively slower showing the problem again.

Just a wild guess: perhaps you're creating continuously some kind of Java
object or allocating resources that could be reused? This sounds like the
garbage collector or something similar hitting the app performance badly.

Hi. It seems that problem with slow game speed is somehow related to devices
with multicore processors, like S2, S3, Nexus 10. I have Alcatel OT997D with
dual core processor and have the same problem like everyone else here: Game
runs at half speed. I also have Samsung Galaxy Gio (single core 800Mhz
processor) and all games run smoothly at normal speed. Also I noticed when I
click "reset shader" in app menu, game and sound speed returns to normal for
few seconds, and then gradually slows down to half speed.
I hope this info helps in solving the problem.

Am having the same problem on galaxy note 2. If I set to 0 frameskip and 0
audio stretch, works smooth, but at about half speed.

Try switching off energy saving in the android settings. I've had the same
problems when energy saving was turned on (Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G, android
4.1.2).
