[RFE] Support for Azure Network Watcher #529

Current situation

Microsoft Azure Network Watcher is valuable tool in the Azure ecosystem, but it is currently unsupported with Flatcar Linux.

Azure Network Watcher provides tools to monitor, diagnose, view metrics, and enable or disable logs for resources in an Azure virtual network. Network Watcher is designed to monitor and repair the network health of IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) products

Ideal future situation

This is a request to support Azure Network Watcher in Flatcar Linux. With this functionality, organizations will be able to expose network data on Flatcar-based Azure VMs to Azure's Network Watcher, and use Azure's tooling to monitor and diagnose issues.

Hi @jcrowthe! This is on our radar. We're tracking down what this integration entails, and how it can fit with our Azure OEM images. Will keep you posted. Thanks for opening this tracker issue

an update: while it's still not clear what flatcar images built for Azure will need in order to have this NetworkWatcher to "Just Work", but I heard back from the Azure networking team that they have run a PoC to get this NetworkWatcher inside a container on Flatcar, and had success. We are waiting to hear what we need to do next.
