As I can't find 1ccc496eab742060bf8a674fd1575eb1b6a35913 in the history of the repo at https://github.com/linux-sunxi/u-boot-sunxi.git and that repo also has not had a arch/arm/cpu/armv7/sunxi/fastboot.c since Mar 2012?

The reason I ask is I would like to build a sdcard img with just u-boot going straight into fastboot mode so that if a flatfish device ever gets "bricked" with a bad boot or system partition, it could be restored by booting into FEL via hardware key combo and that should then boot sdcard0 and hence u-boot in fastboot alllowing the device owner to then flash new imgs. Or perhaps there is already an undocumented key combo to get the u-boot on the device to go into fastboot?

ok I've been pointed at http://git.hands.com/u-boot.git which looks about right but still would be nice for someone to confirm which commit/tag in that repo the patch here is based on?

Hi Maks,

The u-boot revision tag should be "A31-Android4.2-v3.2"

Thank you very much for your help with this!

You may know that we have flatfish devices going out to 500 testers worldwide. Many of them will be building Firefox OS and all of them will be flashing builds frequently.
But right now we do not know any way to enter Fastboot mode using the hardware buttons on the device (holding volume+ or volume- and power does seem to enter some sort of FEL mode). We currently have three users who have non-functioning devices because of flawed builds (I am one of them!) and they seem unable to enter fastboot. If you are able to help us enter fastboot using the buttons it would be very helpful - and we would be grateful! Also, any additional information you can provide about the hardware and its configuration would be immensely helpful (even if it's not in English). Right now we have no manual and little information about how we can recover non-functioning devices. Thank you.
