App crashes on launch #35

Hello there, i just downloaded the bambu studio app from flathub and when i launch it i get a white screen for a split second followed with a crash immediately after. I am using gentoo linux on x86-64 and kernel 6.10.11.

I would need a backtrace of the crash, the warnings you see are unfortunately normal, and there isn't any information about a possible crash in there.

You wouldn't happen to use an NVidia card with the proprietary driver, would you?

I have the same issue, unfortunaatly there is no bt.

You ran gdb on flatpak, not on the BambuStudio binary inside the sandbox.

Strange, every other thing I use (with flatpak) works, e.g. Firefox, Chome, Chromium, Steam (with native and dx games), Discord, ...

  • run flatpak update and make sure all the matching nvidia flatpak extensions are installed that match the driver (flatpak list | grep -i nvidia) flatpak nv drivers are always keep up to data and in sync with the host driver version.

  • try running WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 bambu-studio in a Flatpak shell (like you did gdb above), does it make a change? the startup script tries to do that, but maybe that's not working
