When I try to run Brave-browser from a GUI, it will crash after few seconds. When I run it from terminal flatpak run com.brave.Browser, it doesn't crash.

I think I have found the probable cause:

When I revoke the Run in Background permission, the GUI starts crashing after seconds of opening.

I just got a similar issue today. It won't open, and it doesn't seem to be related to that permission. I'm on Fedora 39 as well

@De-Clan-C have you changed any permissions through flatseal or manually? Click on reset button, it fixed for me. Apparently Brave flatpak version doesn't like the user messing with permissions.

I haven't touched a thing. I got to school the other day and my browser wouldn't open haha. I'll have to troubleshoot some more.

Strange, maybe try reinstalling. Flatpak maintainer of the Brave doesn't look active on issues.

I haven't confirmed it recently, but at that time it was only happening when you have changed some permissions with Flatseal (like limiting access to only downloads folder etc.).

Edit: I can confirm, the issue is still there, just turn off this setting from the flatseal, and here it crashes
