Try not to run discord as administrator

the wiki solution doesn't work either, with none of my rich presence apps

Okay a bigger edit, this time a potential solution.

If you are running Discord as administrator, but not the program or script that executes the RPC client, it will not connect, because it does not have Administrator privileges. The Discord client must be active without Administrative permission, or the program trying to log into the RPC client needs administrative permission.

For me it works if I hard link the rpc instead of symbolic link
