This updates the beta branch to the recent alpha release upstream.

This PR also brings:

Using the KDE platform 6.7. (I've seen the discussion in #20, I can revert back to the solution of building qt-base using the freedesktop platform but with QT6 if you want so.) This seems to fix both #19 and #21.
