Yes, it is checked.
In that case it will be good to see some logs. As you opened the issue here I am assuming you installed PulseEffects through a flatpak package. Kill any PulseEffects instance and start it in debug mode G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=pulseeffects flatpak run com.github.wwmm.pulseeffects
Here it is:
I'm using the beta channel, by the way. First, I changed the PulseAudio routing for Firefox back to the default. Then, I killed and re-ran the program, then tried toggling Firefox on and off under "Applications" while a video was playing. No audio got routed to PulseEffects.
The stoul
errors are serious and were fixed in the latest PulseEffects release. Some things have changed in PipeWire since our 5.0.0
release. But I am not sure if this should be causing the problem you are facing. I would expect another issue.
If it helps any, I'm using OpenSUSE Tumbleweed with pipewire-pulse.
Linux 5.11.15-1-default #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux
Seems I have to manually go into pavucontrol and adjust the sink to "PulseEffects Sink" for each application, rather than effects being applied to all system audio automatically.
