(Don't merge) trying to debug screenshot issue #54

I've been puzzled trying to fix the AppStream screenshot issue discussed here https://github.com/flathub/flathub/pull/2429. My current theory is that flathub test builds behave differently than stable ones, so I'm trying this out.
