Edge does not launch Horizon Client anymore

As title says; this used to work with older versions of Edge but does not anymore. I have tested VMWare Horizon Client and Telegram, both do not launch. Even when logged in VMWare Hub I get an error message if I want to reset the launch options.

This used to work with older Edge versions from flathub. It still works in Chrome and Firefox on the same machine - however these are no flatpaks.

I can't reproduce this with other applications that make use of native application launching from browser (i.e. Slack login). Can you provide some more detail on what you're doing, what you expect to happen, and what actually happens? Screenshots, screen captures, etc. would be helpful.

One big example is spotify. Install it and try to login - it tries to authenticate by starting a browser but instead does nothing.

I will try to screen capture the edge problem.

After trying to start vmware-view nothing happens. This used to work in earlier versions of edge.
