Unable to update the Minecraft Native Launcher #148

Whenever I run flatpak run com.mojang.Minecraft I get the following:

MessageBox(Minecraft Launcher): Unable to update the Minecraft Native Launcher.

I looked for a log or anything to tell me more, and in ~/.var/app/com.mojang.Minecraft/.minecraft/bootstrap_log.txt I found the following, which I believe to be the reason why it won't start:

[Error: 2023-12-03 14:22:30.591966358: PistonUpdate.cpp(701)] /.../PistonStaging could not be created as a directory. Error: Read-only file system
[Error: 2023-12-03 14:22:30.592018997: mainLinux.cpp(208)] Updating bootstrap and launcher failed!

I am running an up-to-date install of Void Linux with the musl libc. musl might be to blame (it often is for many things unfortunately), however I would expect flatpak to work around that..

It's always downloading an update each time I open it! I hope this gets fixed soon. :(
