Some further information.
Seems like Pulseaudio user configuration file '/home/user/.config/pulse/client.conf': Error opening file /home/user/.config/pulse/client.conf: No such file or directory
is the issue. I've check previous similar issues where downgrading has worked but downgrading hasn't worked for me.

Me too, Gentoo.
Skype window opens, shows spinning loading animation.
If i have not yet unlocked the gnome keyring, then i am prompted for my password.
After entering my password, segfault.
