Started test build 81753
Build 81753 failed
On my system I cannot open the sample project I just created using this build – launching the editor hangs at “Initial Asset Database Refresh”. The same problem does not occur with Unity Hub 3.4.1 so I will shortly test whether this is a regression in #104 or this PR.
It is a regression in this branch. Using editor version 2021.3.32f1 (since this was the editor branch that was reported to need openssl 1.1)

The upstream report was WONTFIXed:
Unity 2021.3 supports Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04, therefore Ubuntu 23.10 is not officially supported. A workaround is available, see https://forum.unity.com/threads/linux-editor-stuck-on-loading-because-of-bee_backend-w-workaround.1166347/ Or consider upgrading to Unity 2022 to use with later Ubuntu versions.
OK, let's move ahead.

Hey @wjt, can this be merged soon?
