Any info or an ETA on when this can be fixed to work? Seems like the official Proton is above v8 and we're stuck on v7 right now. I would like to use v8 for the enhanced shader cache performance upgrades etc. I also require the community version of Proton for the Flatpak version of Steam and Gamescope, which only seem to work with the community version of Proton thus far (?).

Or is it recommended to use the community version of ProtonGE instead? Can't help fix anything, but would gladly donate to the cause if possible.

Duh, looks like something wrong with the upstream Git repo. gst-plugins-base submodule seems deleted in 8.0-4, while the entry in .gitodules still present. What's the official version released through Steam, 8.0-4 or 8.0-3c?
