Metro Exodus crashing #1038

*Problem description** Game launches and I see the loading screen then it crashes

Does this issue reproduce with native Steam not tested

Are you referring to Metro Exodus or the Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition? The later requires GPU-specific launch parameters to enable the necessary raytracing features.

FWIW I've played through Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition several times over the last month using Flatpak Steam - it "should" work. AMDGPU, Fedora 37.

Can you tell us a bit more about your setup? GPU, used Proton version to launch Metro Exodus, maybe special configuration/launch parameters you set for Metro Exodus.

If you still have the game installed please set the following launch parameter: PROTON_LOG=1 %command, start the game and have it run until it crashes. A log will be written to ~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam having the Steam ID of Metro Exodus (412020) as its name. Please attach it to your issue.
