Apex legends crash (unknown file version (packs/win64/pc_all.opt.starpak) #1059

Hi guys, i installed steam (flatpack) and apex legends on pop os but whenever i launched the game it crashed in a few minute with this error (unknown file version (packs/win64/pc_all.opt.starpak) so i verified the files and minimum 2 files are corrupted so it update and im enable to play normally but when i quit the game and i came back the same error shows again , i have to verify my files everytime when i quit the game, do you know what is the problem guys ? i dont know if i put all the required information im fresh in linux hope you will find a solution for me thank you guys

happened with me today, game just close with 'unknown file version' error for a random file each time i try to enter a match

same problem here, but the files that give the error are random: pc_all.opt.starpak and audio\ship\general_english.mstr are the most common but looks like the error can involve every game's file randomly.

I also have been facing this problem for almost 6 months now. Every time i try to "verify integrity of game files" it scans them and starts downloading and at the end it just stops working and gives me a "corrupted disk error" message. And now it happened again and i'm scared to do anything... R.I.P RESPAWN....

I have the same problem, although I'm using regular, package-manager steam, are you using btrfs by any chance ?
