Cannot open main Steam UI - segfault : Unable to access opcode bytes

I updated Steam and now attempting to open it, the taskbar daemon runs, and I can open the standalone settings window, but anything else segfaults.

The following repeats over and over until I shut down the daemon:

Does this issue also happen when Steam is launched from a terminal with flatpak run com.valvesoftware.Steam? And does it persist if launching with DRI_PRIME=1 flatpak run com.valvesoftware.Steam?

About a week or so after I posted this it began to work and continues to do so. My apologies for forgetting about this ticket. It can be closed now, it seems we are all good.

You're likely running into ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux#9383, there's been a lot of similar issues since the release of Steam's new UI a month ago. The same issue was reported in #1103 in this repo.

it does not happen when launching from terminal, or clicking 'Open' from fedora's Gnome software. It only happens, to my knowledge, when launched from Gnome Dash or app drawer.

Same thing happens in Kubuntu 23.10 (KDE) with Radeon 7900 XTX. If steam is launched from terminal then there's no issue.
