Game information Big picture, Dirt Rally 2 and Dirt 3

Distribution name and version where applicable 35.20211107.0 (Silverblue)

Flatpak info Flatpak 1.12.2 nvidia-495-44 default host

Problem description Logitech G29 wheel is not picked it. I have confimed that other things in flatpak do in fact pick it up, like: Firefox https://gamepad-tester.com/, and https://flathub.org/apps/details/io.gitlab.jstest_gtk.jstest_gtk

Does this issue reproduce with native Steam Have not tested

I googled and noticed others having problems with G29.

lsusb shows something like: Bus 003 Device 028: ID 046d:c24f Logitech, Inc. G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel [PS3]

PS3 mode?

You tried to add steam-devices...rpm?

Does that make any difference at all for flatpaks? PS3 mode does not work either.

Yeah, it does. udev rules need to be installed on host.

I'm facing disparities regarding G29 detection between the Flatpak and RPM packages. The steam-devices package didn't change anything on my end.

I tested 3 games using both packages:

Assetto Corsa: wheel is properly detected on both
Forza Horizon 5: wheel is properly detected using the RPM. On Flatpak, face buttons are detected as a standard XInput device, H shifter and pedals do not work
CarX Drift Racing Online: wheel is detected as an XInput device, pedals work as stick/trigger axis, H shifter does not work. Behaves the same as Forza Horizon 5 when using Flatpak.
