got the same error using AMD and some versions of Proton/GE, but version GEProton-7-25 worked fine in multiplayer you can install specific versions easily with this app https://flathub.org/apps/details/net.davidotek.pupgui2
@FastOSlinux Are you sure you're using the Flatpak version of Steam? It is not working with Proton-GE-7-25. Neither is it working with the newest (GE-7-29). Just re-downloaded the game and tested it. Both with AMD (got a RX580 by now) and Nvidia cards.
yes, I only use Flatpaks in Fedora Silverblue
Hello, any news on this issue ? I still confirm the same problem (on Single Player, on a Core i7 1195G7) with flatpak version of Steam using :
While on ProtonDB website, it is reported working with Proton GE and Experimental with launch option DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
.
Any idea ? Thank you
Hello, any answer please ? Thank you
Tested with Proton-GE 8-4, as well as Proton Hotfix and bleeding-edge Proton Experimental. Still not working inside of Flatpak. Zen Kernel 6.3.9, Gnome 44.2 and newest Mesa driver (AMD RX580).
Game information Black Ops II Multiplayer Black Ops II Zombies
Distribution name and version where applicable Arch 5.18.9-zen Kernel Gnome 42.3.1 Nvidia graphics card
Flatpak info Flatpak 1.12.7 nvidia-515-57 default host
Problem description Game crashed after launch, unhandled exception. (see below) Valve apparently fixed it with the newest Proton Experimental (or with GE-Proton7-21) but it keeps crashing with the Flatpak version of Steam. I tried it with the native client from Arch repo and it works out of the box. So it seems like there is something missing.
Does this issue reproduce with native Steam No, it does work with the native Steam client.
