A new version of the runtime was recently released, see here. Brings some updated packages, but they probably won't affect Element.

Can you check if desktop notifications work without --talk-name=org.freedesktop.Notifications?

The 23.08 baseapp includes libnotify 0.8.2 which should not require that hole.

I just tested it on Fedora 38 with Gnome 44, notifications actually worked without --talk-name=org.freedesktop.Notifications. Want me to remove it?
