Revert "use extra-data step to download FFS binary" #51

This reverts commit c177e815412443da2e51ac8b4931a050ee84fc3a.

For some reason the installation fails with:

Error deploying: While trying to apply extra data: apply_extra script failed, exit status 512

However, that only affects release builds. Test and dev builds install fine. Revert for the moment, so that people can still install the older version, and we can debug in the mean time.
