Not sure if I should bump gstreamer libs to the current stable release 1.22.x. I can do that if that's desired.

@bbhtt That would not be neccessery. If you enter the --devel mode, and you run gst-launch-1.0 --gst-version, you'll see that the current version of GStreamer is 1.20.5. When FreeDesktop 23.08 comes out, we can expect that GNOME 45 will use GStreamer 1.22.x
