Missing icons in dark mode since org.kde.Platform update to >= 6 #99

I've been using digiKam with org.kde.Platform 5.15-XX.XX and dark theme has had visible icons (light on dark). Since org.kde.Platform was updated to 6.X, dark theme uses dark icons and UX is really bad.

I've tried many things, including:

Instaling breeze icons in host system and sharing /usr/share/icons then selecting use system in digiKam settings
Adwaita-dark
Breeze-Dark
Forcing GTK theme and using Breeze-Dark GTK theme and icons

Nothing seems to work.

A few updates were applied and my problem still persists. App is barely usable in this state. Is there a workaround to get dark theme with matching icon set?

breeze-dark icons in plasma 6 are broken :(

Seems to be fixed in digikam 8.5.0.
