Comparatively, if I use the Arch Linux provided Kdenlive package, it works fine and doesn't crash:

I have exactly the same issue!

Only way to fix is is to disable Wayland for Kdenlive in Flatseal. Otherwise it crashes with: The Wayland connection experienced a fatal error: Protocol error

EDIT: My log spits also this: wp_linux_drm_syncobj_surface_v1@49: error 2: Explicit Sync only supported on dmabuf buffers

Fixed by adding nvidia-drm.fbdev=1 to kernel parameters on boot time via grub.

I was unfortunately wrong, it did not fix the issue. Still crashing.
