Is there any place where I can apply to become a maintainer for a flathub repository like this one? if I get write access, then I can merge PRs after successful builds and passed local tests.

The plan is to pass maintenance of this flatpak to thunderbird upstream similarly to firefox. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1290670

They added it to internal CI already but it needs some more testing/polish. https://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/file/tip/taskcluster/docker/thunderbird-flatpak

I don't think one day delay is significant, most distros didn't update yet.
