Thunderbird 60 crashes on startup. #46

Closed soundconjurer closed 5 years ago

Crashes immediately on start up. Task manager shows the application starting up, then immediately dying. Running on Kubuntu 18.04.1 LTS 64 bit.

Workaround: Changed ~/.thunderbird/ and the ~/.var/app/org.mozilla.Thunderbird to .old, starts up correctly.

What expected: Incompatible extensions should gracefully be ignored.

Terminal output: $ flatpak run org.mozilla.Thunderbird -v Thunderbird 60.0

$ flatpak run --verbose org.mozilla.Thunderbird F: No installations directory in /etc/flatpak/installations.d. Is there anyway to install a previous version of Thunderbird using flatpak?

revert the last version: flatpak update --commit=6d772dbdd5ca95dfa70121d1d1cb91c3f4a1501a330c24c5be36a24e16ac7471 org.mozilla.Thunderbird

I blew away Thunderbird's config and my personal data, so this is from a pristine installation of Thunderbird 60. It just plain out crashes trying to add an account. I suppose I will be stuck using web mail for a while.
