Document not opening when clicking on an e-mail attachment for which OnlyOffice is the default application #112

Only Office Version: 7.5.1.23 (flatpak) OS: Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.2

When clicking on an e-mail attachment in Evolution e-mail for which OnlyOffice is the default application, OnlyOffice is started but it shows an empty document.

Problem narrowing down check. Both Evolution e-mail and OnlyOffice are running in a flatpak, so I installed LibreOffice in flatpak. Using the same e-mail and the same attachment, LibreOffice started and opened the MS Word attachment without problems. I tried several other attachments (e.g. picture, movie, PDF document) for which OnlyOffice is NOT the default program and Evolution started the correct program showing the attachment without problems. So it seems that OnlyOffice in flatpak is the problem.

All attachments of which OnlyOffice is the deafult program to start (also spreadsheets and presentations) show the same problem (OnlyOffice is started but shows a blank document).

Found a solution :-) move to Libre Office
