flathub verification? #42

Getting verification would allow an increased level of user trust.

This would require the blessing of upstream devs (if they are different from the flatpak maintainers)

I am happy to help with that but from that doc page is not clear how I can "Click the "Developer Settings" button under the app you want to verify - I do not see button here, maybe I am not registered as a developer somehow? How is my account linked to the flathub portal?

I'm not sure. If you have no developer tab in the settings, you might have to reach out to https://matrix.to/#/#flatpak:matrix.org

There should be a "Verification" option on the Flathub.org Pitivi management page.

I don't seem to be authorized. Not sure who added Pitivi to Flathub.

Hey @Aleb, just sent you an invite. You or @thiblahute will need to add a token at specific location of your website, developer portal will tell you what and where.

@thiblahute Yes, you already do by having write access to the repo. To initiate the verification process, log in to flathub.org with your GitHub account, then navigate to "Developer portal" after clicking your avatar in the top-right corner. You will figure out next steps from there.

Looks like the Flatpak is verified now. :-)
