runtime 20.08 is EOL, needs an update to latest supported version #29

would it be a good time to update runtime to v23.08?

The freedesktop runtime was already updated in https://github.com/flathub/org.wesnoth.Wesnoth/commit/10ed61ee39bb9cc4ac8ffc8105ab0f8c155de3c0. Can you clarify what you mean?

everytime I try to update my flatpaks I get spammed Wesnoth runtimes are EOL image

1.14 is really old. There has been a change on flathub to not allow multiple stable branches anymore. So there will be no 1.16 or 1.18 branch. You need to install the stable branch to get 1.18. (flatpak install flathub org.wesnoth.Wesnoth//stable) And you probably need to uninstall 1.14 or perhaps masking helps as well with the warnings.

weird, I just installed it KDE (plasma6) discover, no idea why it has version by default: image

flatpak install flathub org.wesnoth.Wesnoth//stable did install the correct 1.18 version...now I just have both... will uninstall the older one, just wonder why KDE/discover choose the wrong old build ...weird

okay I found the issue, there is two version the one with 1.14.17 (above) : image

and the 1.18, but for some reason it says it out of date and I should use the other one? what, I think this is why it installed the 1.14.17 instead (for some reason) image

still doesn't explain why there is two version and it thinks 1.18 is a dev version and its out of date

could be bug in KDE, have to check git version of KDE with my laptop soon

Most likely it is since I didn't have anything like that with gnome-software.

I checked the git version of KDE, and it still has the two version when you search for it (the old 1.14.17 and 1.18) but when you check the 1.18 version it didnt have the complaint anymore about the "dev version" being out of date (and you should use the stable version)

btw. if you notice in the pic, they have different star ratings, the older one has 84 ratings and the newer has 42 ratings?

(I see this also on my openSUSE - Kalpa/MicroOS system)

it seems the issue is just that the 1.14 branch still exist. aka someone just needs to remove the old branch to fix this
