Stuck on "Connecting to meeting" on 5.7.31792.0820 #285

Just tried to join a meeting and was stuck on "Connecting to meeting" until it timed out and offered to join via the web (which wasn't possible as this is a password-protected meeting).

I ended up installing Zoom from the rpm (which also provides zoom-5.7.31792.0820-1.x86_64) and that worked: i was able to connect to the meeting without any issue.

I can tell the flatpak has normal network access, as i can log into my Zoom account (sigh, yes i had to create one for said password-protected meeting) and when connecting to the meeting it finds out that it needs a password and offers to enter it.

Is this a known issue? Happy to try and provide further info.

I have had this problem many times with the rpm version, so I doubt that it's a flatpak issue. It often works on the 2nd or 3rd attempt, but the timeout is very slow.

sounds like a general Zoom problem, not related to the flatpaked version.
