Not sure if you have other plans, or if there is another tool to create this structure, but I threw this together this morning.

It's probably not quite complete, but it creates the directory structure outlined in the readme so that you can start hacking on your blog immediately.

According to http://blacksmith.jit.su/ there's supposed to be a blacksmith init command, but it doesn't seem to exist in reality.

secretrobotron commented 11 years ago

So, it this of any use?

edef1c commented 11 years ago

@lpar That's rather out of date, it speaks of Weld and JSDOM (we've moved to Plates)

richarvey commented 11 years ago

i'm totally confused by the old documentation the blacksmith site points to blacksmith init doesn't work and there seems to no alternative. Not even a page saying you need to set these pages up and it will work. Getting started on this is a no go.

haustraliaer commented 11 years ago

Agreed - I'm quite keen to get in and play around with blacksmith to understand it better, but the lack of a 'boilerplate' starting point makes things a bit difficult.

Can you at least link to a repo with an example?

Racheet commented 11 years ago

I've having exactly the same issue. I can't get started because I don't have some boilerplate to show me what blacksmith expects.

n1cholasv commented 11 years ago

Same issue. Also this seems to be a dead project, so I'd be scared to get started.

A simple /examples/site or /examples/blog would be nice. The readme is hard to understand and it's not clear which of the items are key-words and which are examples.
