Collection status page doesn't automatically update the list of databases

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open two browser windows pointing at the admin/collections/ page
2. Using one of the browser windows, create a new database, or delete an
existing database
3. The other browser window doesn't reflect the additional database, or the
deleted database.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would expect the list of collections in the other browser window to
update shortly after the new database is added, or the old database is removed.

For now, reloading the other browser window updates the list of
collections; this is just a rough edge which it would be nice to polish off.
