What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a new collection with a long description
2. View the collection list table

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The row for the collection accommadates the whole description, which is
aesthetically poor.

Probably long descriptions should be truncated in the collection list table
and ellipsis appended to indicate the truncation.
